We just launched our very own keyswitch type for the Voyager. It's the Platypus, and it looks like this:

These are linear switches that take 35 grams of force to actuate (what we like to call "35gf" in keyboard-nerd speak). They're very smooth to the feel.
Most important, they are silent. These are very safe to use at an office setting, and even soft conversation will make any sound from your typing fade into the background. These will not be audible over Zoom or in screen recordings and so on.
Subjectively speaking, there is something peaceful about these switches. Soft switches can sometimes result in false key actuation, where you rest your fingers on the board and end up sending a bunch of characters. This doesn't happen to me with these switches. 35gf is right on the line where the switch feels effortless to type on and gentle on your fingers, but I never end up pressing a key by mistake.
Because this is our own switch, we got to pick the colors this time. We went with the same purple we use for the Voyager's packaging, and I think it looks fantastic.
These switches cost us more than other Kailh Choc switches we offer for the Voyager, but because we like them so much, we decided to make them the default switch we suggest in the Voyager's configurator when you buy a new board. We did this without raising the price of the keyboard.
Up until today we haven't offered standalone keyswitches for the Voyager, because none of the switches on offer were exclusive to ZSA. With the Platypus, we've gone ahead and added an entry to the Voyager's accessory store so you can buy a standalone set of 60 switches.
I just sent out an email announcing these and I wouldn't be surprised if we ran out of stock today, so if you're reading this and we're already out of stock, don't worry: We'll be getting many more of these in the future so just check back. And if you do end up getting these, I'd love to hear what you think about them!
